Related Tactics artist talk at Augusta University, Mar 7, 2:30-4pm
Thursday, February 7th, 2019 | 2:30 PM – 4 PM | Augusta University, University Hall, Room 170
Related Tactics is a collective of artists, writers, educators, editors and curators producing creative projects, opportunities and interventions at the intersection of race and culture.
Our projects explore the connections between art, broader social issues, and the public through trans-disciplinary exchanges, making, and dialog. Related Tactics is a conceptual space and platform where we aim to confront and critique systemic and institutional racism or inequities that influence our immediate socio-cultural lived experience. We do this through collaborations and critical thought between and for communities of color and the diaspora.
Related Tactics is a platform for collaborative group projects, as well as individually initiated work that advances the collective’s goals and can benefit from the gathered wisdom of the team. While Related Tactics is new as a formalized entity, members have supported each other’s projects and collaborated in various forms for years.
This event will be held in University Hall Room 170, on the Summerville Campus, and it is free and open to the public.
